WACO, Texas (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 9, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo climbed three spots in the American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Poll Monday, improving from a preseason ranking of 8th to 5th on the heels of its win over Division I Northern Colorado.

CSU-Pueblo also received one first-place vote (of a possible 32 first-place votes), marking the third consecutive season in which the Pack had received at least one first-place vote in the AFCA Poll.

The Pack claimed a 41-36 win on the road at Northern Colorado in its first ever game against an NCAA FCS opponent.  In the process, it also claimed its first ever win over the Bears in 14 tries.  Previously, the teams played annually from 1964-76 as the Pack went 0-11-2 in 13 meetings.

This week, CSU-Pueblo travels to Dallas to take on Angelo State at AT&T Stadium in the Lone Star Conference Football Festival.  The Pack and Angelo State kick off at 8 p.m. CST Saturday.
