WACO, Texas & INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 28, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo held on to its national ranking of third in the AFCA Coaches' Poll released Monday, but debuted at number-one in the rankings that matter - the NCAA Division II Super Regional Rankings, which were also released Monday.
The ThunderWolves, which rolled an RMAC-record 28th straight conference win in its 51-17 victory over Black Hills State Saturday, stayed in the number-three spot for the third-straight week, claiming a top-ten national ranking for the 28th straight week, which remains a current best in NCAA Division II.
Additionally, in receiving the top ranking in the NCAA Division II Super Region 4 rankings, CSU-Pueblo has been ranked number-one in the opening rankings for each of the past three season. In the past two seasons (2011 and 2012), CSU-Pueblo continued to win for the rest of the regular season and finish the regular season as the nation's top seed as well as the nation's top-ranked team in the AFCA Coaches' Poll.
