Jillian Kelly joins the Colorado State University Pueblo volleyball staff as an Assistant Coach, bringing a strong background in athlete development, strength and conditioning, leadership, and collegiate athletics.

A proud CSU Pueblo alumna, Kelly earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Health Coaching, along with minors in Psychology and Leadership Studies. During her time at CSU Pueblo, she was a member of the women’s lacrosse team from 2020–2023 and served as a two-time team captain from 2021–2023. She was also a member of the CSU Pueblo track team and participated in the President’s Leadership Program.

Kelly’s coaching and performance background includes working with collegiate, elite, and professional athletes. She served as a Strength and Conditioning Intern at CSU Pueblo, where she helped develop and implement sport-specific training programs, instructed athletes in proper lifting and running techniques, and managed daily weight room operations. She also gained professional sports performance experience with the Professional Bull Riders Sports Performance Center and the UFC Performance Institute, where she worked with athletes in individual and small-group settings and assisted with individualized training programs and performance assessments.

Most recently, Kelly worked as a Contracted Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with USA Boxing at the Olympic Training Center, designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs for elite athletes while collaborating with coaches, sports medicine professionals, and nutrition staff.

A Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Kelly is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Applied Sports Psychology at Adams State University. She is passionate about helping athletes develop not only physically, but also through leadership, confidence, discipline, and a strong team culture.

As a former CSU Pueblo student-athlete and captain, Kelly is excited to return to the ThunderWolves family and contribute to the continued development and success of CSU Pueblo volleyball.
