Career Honors

• 3x NAIA All-American (at Carroll College)

Before CSU-Pueblo: Competed at Carroll College in Helena, Montana as a freshman throughout the 2012-13 academic year… Ran for current CSU-Pueblo Coach Matt Morris earning a total of three NAIA All-America certificates on the track.

2012 Cross Country (At Carroll): Earned All-Frontier Conference honors after placing fifth while leading the Saints to a team title… Later finished 79^th overall and 55^th amongst team scorers to a fifth place finish at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships. 

2012-13 Indoor (At Carroll): Earned NAIA All-America honors in both the mile and distance medley relays… Posted a time of 5:02.37 to place fifth in the mile… Ran the anchor leg (mile) on the eighth place DMR team that posted a finals time of 12:14.91 after running a time of 12:12.94 in the prelims… Had won the mile at the Idaho State Open with a time of 5:11.66 earlier… Also posted a season-best time of 2:20.58 in the 800 meters at the Bobcat Open (Montana State) on Feb. 15…

2013 Outdoor (At Carroll): Took seventh in the 1,500 meters to earn NAIA All-America honors… Finished with a career-best time of 4:35.03… Also ran in the 800 and 5,000-meter events during the regular season posting times of 2:19.44 and 18:00.79… Won the St. Martin’s (Wash.) Last Chance meet with that 800-meter time on May 12 after placing second at the Bobcat Open (Montana State) in April… Also a member of the Saints’ winning 4X400 and 4X800-meter relay teams at the Duane Hartman Invitational on Apr. 27 in Spokane, Wash.

Prep: Ran for Coach Paul Jorgenson and the Flathead HS Bravettes… Had best times of 2:24 (800m) and 5:26 (mile).

Academics: Is majoring in elementary education… Graduated from Flathead with a 3.8 GPA… Was a National Honor Society member and a 4-year honor roll selection.

Personal: Born Jan. 11, 1993 to Beck and Bret Hughes… Older sister’s name is Breanna.
