Roya Tahmassebi enters her first year as an assistant coach after playing four years at Pacific University in Oregon.
In her second season, Tahmassebi secured All-Northwest Conference First Team honors and in her third season, earned second team recognition. In 2019, Tahmassebi led the Boxers with 29 goals and was second on the team with three assists. She had a hat trick in seven games, including a season-high five goals on a pair of occasions. Tahmassebi totaled 71 career goals for Pacific.
Tahmassebi served as captain during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons. Also during these years she
began her coaching career, as she assisted Head Coach Monica Potter at the Xcelerate Nike Oregon
Girls Lacrosse Camp at Oregon State University.
In the Spring of 2020, Tahmassebi graduated cum laude from Pacific in Anthropology with a Philosophy minor.
Before college, Tahmassebi played at Scripps Ranch High School in San Diego, California where she served as captain for one year. She also played at Mountain View High School in Mountain View, Calif. for one year. She also played for Joe Brown’s Southern California club team, the Pacific Falcons.
