Jannel Daufenbach begins her first season with CSU-Pueblo Women's Lacrosse in 2018-19. Daufenbach recently graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg Maryland, where she played four years of lacrosse at the Division I level and earned her degree in Secondary Education with a focus in Social Studies.

Daufenbach led her team on the draw circle, becoming one of the Mount’s most decorated draw specialists. During her senior season, she broke the school record for career total draw controls. Over her four seasons, she collected 191 career draws. For her junior season, Daufenbach started all 15 games for the Mount. She finished the season with 16 goals, 68 draw controls, five caused turnovers and seven ground balls. Daufenbach led the Mount in draw controls, posting the second-highest single-season total  in program history...Had a season best four goals against Bryant. Jannel Posted hat-tricks against LIU Brooklyn, Sacred Heart, and Saint Joseph's. She had a season high nine draw controls against Radford.

During her sophomore season, Daufenbach earned a spot on the NEC’s Second Team for her defensive presence. She started all 17 games in her sophomore season. Daufenbach registered 50 draw controls and 11 ground balls on the year. In 2016, Daufenbach ranked third in the conference with 2.94 draw controls per game.

In her debut campaign as a Freshman, Daufenbach played in all 17 games with 16 starts in the midfield for the Mount during freshman season. As a freshman, she scored two goals and added one assist for three points on the year. Daufenbach finished her freshman season tied for second on the team with 29 draw controls, which are the second most by a freshman in Mount history. Daufenbach added 11 ground balls, seven caused turnovers and 12 shots. She secured a season-high seven draw controls to go with two ground balls and a caused turnover versus St. Bonaventure (March 4, 2015).

Jannel played varsity lacrosse at Freedom High School in Virginia and Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs. Daufenbach Scored more than 150 career goals in high school. She earned First Team All-CedarRun Division in 2011 and All-League and All-Region in 2012… As a junior at Cheyenne Mountain, Daufenbach was named Pikes Peak League Midfielder of the Year and All-Pikes Peak League. In 2014 Jannel was named Co-Player of the Year in Cedar Run District.

In her free time, she enjoys hiking, working out, and playing with her three-legged dog.
