Sarah Miles joined the Pack Women's Basketball coaching staff in June of 2017. She is the first Assistant Coach hired by Head Coach Curtis Loyd.

In her first season with the Pack, the ThunderWolves won both the RMAC Regular Season and Tournament Championships. This was the first time the Pack won both the conference's regular season and tournament title in the same season. CSU-Pueblo went 25-7 in Miles' first year.

Molly Rohrer was named RMAC Player of the Year in Loyd's first season. Katie Cunningham was voted RMAC Defensive Player of the Year and RMAC Tournament MVP under Miles' guidance. All five ThunderWolf starters were named All-RMAC in 2017-18/

Miles comes to the Pack from Division I’s West Virginia University, where she worked as a graduate assistant. During Miles’ tenure, the Mountaineers won the Big 12 Conference Tournament Championship. West Virginia went 24-11 and won their first 13 games of the season with Miles coaching.

Miles also starred for the Mountaineers as a student-athlete. In 2009-10, Miles was named Big East Defensive Player of the Year, finishing with 2.8 steals per game. She would also be named All-Big East Tournament Team and Second Team All-Big East as a junior, helping lead the Mountaineers to a 29-6 record.

During her sophomore season, Miles average a career-high  12.2 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game. In the classroom, Miles also shined for the Mountaineers, earning a spot on the Athletic Director’s Academic Honor Roll as a junior and a senior.

After she completed her collegiate career, Miles played a season of professional basketball in Finland.  Competing for Forssa Finland, she earned an All-Finnish League Honorable Mention selection and helped her team reach the Finnish League Semifinals.

When she returned to the States, Miles worked at High Octane Performance Skills in her native San Antonio, Texas. Working with student-athletes in the offseason, she helped two players reach D-I institutions, placing student-athletes at Duke University and Texas Tech University. .

“Sarah brings experience as a player with the knowledge of knowing the game that will help our team grow both on and off the court,” Loyd said. “I was really impressed with her understanding of the day to day operations, her drive to develop players and her personality that will help her quickly build strong relationships with players and recruits. I am very fortunate to have her and she has already jumped right into the position. “
