Neema Behbahani is entering his third season in 2025 with the ThunderWolves as an assistant coach and second working with linebackers. In addition to coaching the linebackers, he serves as the program's recruiting coordinator. He also recruits the North Dallas and San Diego areas.
In his second year with the Pack, Behbahani helped linebackers Gary Seidenberger and Jon Nuschy earn All-RMAC honors. In his first season with the Pack, Behbahani coached the cornerbacks and had two of his cornerbacks - Eli Pittman and Keith McKaney earned All-RMAC honors.
Behbahani came to the Pack after spending the 2022 season as a graduate assistant linebackers coach on Sonny Cumbie’s staff at Louisiana Tech University.
Prior to working at Louisiana Tech, Behbahani served two seasons (2020-21) as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Texas A&M-Commerce. He began was a graduate assistant coach working with the safeties, before coaching the linebackers his second year with the Lions. In his time as an assistant at Commerce, Behbahani was involved with recruiting East Texas, West Fort Worth and East Coach JUCO’s.
Before getting into coaching, Behbahani was a four-year letterman from 2016-19 at linebacker for the Texas A&M-Commerce football program. He was the team captain as a senior in 2019 and was a member of Commerce’s 2017 NCAA Division II National Championship football team and played on four NCAA playoff teams. He was a 2020 National Football Foundation Gridiron Club of Dallas Scholar-Athlete nominee and was a two-time member (2016 & 2017) of the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll and a two-time member (2015-17) of the TAMU-C Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. As a player, he earned Honorable Mention All-LSC honors as a linebacker in 2017 and was on the 2016 Lion Honor Roll.
In his four seasons as a player for the Lions, he ranks 12th in school history in total tackles with 235. He played in a total of 51 games over those four seasons and along with his 235 total tackles, he also had 30 career tackles for loss, seven quarterback sacks, one interception and seven pass deflections.
Behbahani, a native of Plano, Texas, attended Plano Senior High School, where he was an All-District Unanimous Linebacker as a Senior in 2014. He also earned 2
nd Team All–District honors as a Linebacker in his junior campaign in 2013.
Behbahani earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Learning and Technology from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2019 and received his master’s degree in Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Studies (Athletic Administration) from Texas A&M-Commerce in 2022.
He married his wife, Jocelyn, in January 2024 in their hometown of the DFW Metroplex. The couple recently welcomed their daughter, Everley, in February 2025.
