Luke Munsterteiger begins his fifth season as an assistant coach with the ThunderWolves. He will again help guide the tight ends and enters his third season as equipment manager.

Munsterteiger coached Preston Guerra to All-American honors in 2018. Guerra's impact wasn't just with his catching and blocking abilities, but also his run game out of the wildcat. He finished the season with 89 rushing yards and two scores. He totaled five receptions for 53 yards. The Pack tight ends also helped the offense record 38.8 points per game to sit 19th in the nation at the end of the regular season. CSU-Pueblo ranked third in the conference in least sacks allowed (1.82 sapg).

Tight end Zach Boyd was named all-region and All-RMAC First Team in 2016 and 2017. In those two seasons, he totaled 437 yards on 38 receptions and six touchdowns. Also an important part of the run game and pass protection, the tight ends helped the Pack to rank 3rd in the RMAC and 33rd nationally in sacks allowed (1.27 spg) and were 5th in the conference in tackles for loss allowed (5.73 tflpg) in 2017 and in 2016, help guide the team to 195.8 yards rushing per game, despite missing their top running back for more than half the season. The ThunderWolves also finished the regular season No. 14 in NCAA Division II in least tackles for loss allowed (4.36).

In 2015, Pack tight end Zach Boyd ranked second on the team in reception yards (371) and third in receptions (17). He was also second in receiving scores with five.

Munsterteiger most recently was the assistant football coach at Irondale High School in Mounds View, Minn. where he coached offensive and defensive linemen.

Prior to his stint at Irondale HS, Munsterteiger served as intern at Bethel University. His duties included recruiting, communicating and interaction with recruits while on campus visits.

Munsterteiger helped with numerous summer camps at various institutions.

His playing career included three seasons at Bethel University and one season at Waldorf College, playing offensive line. He helped developed teamwork at practice and led players against starters during practice.

Munsterteiger and wife Else were married in the summer of 2017 and reside in Pueblo.
