Kaden Shelton is entering his first season with the ThunderWolves as an assistant coach and will work with the defensive line.

Shelton joins the coaching staff after being a player for the Pack for the past two seasons. After redshirting in 2022, Shelton played eight games on the defensive line as a redshirt junior in 2023.
During the 2023 season, Shelton recorded 15 tackles, including six solo stops, tallied two tackles for a loss, added a half-a-sack, and recovered a fumble. He had at least two tackles in five games, including three tackles each against Western Colorado and Fort Lewis.
Shelton was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference First-Team Academic Football Team in 2023 and was also a First-Team member of the NFF Colorado Chapter Academic All-Colorado Team.
Before playing at CSU Pueblo, Shelton played two seasons (2019-21) at Bakersfield College on the defensive line. He earned unanimous First-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-State honors. Recorded 19 total tackles, including 14 solo stops, and added two sacks, 3.5 tackles for a loss for the Renegades.
As a sophomore in 2021, played in seven games and had 15 tackles, including 11 solo stops, and added two sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss. Did not compete during the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and saw action in four games in 2019 as a freshman and had four tackles.
Shelton, who is a native of Bakersfield, Calif., prepped at Frontier High School and graduated in 2019. In his prep career, he recorded 10 tackles and had two quarterback hurries. In the classroom, carried a 3.8 cumulative GPA.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in business management with an emphasis in Organization Risk and Security Management from CSU Pueblo in December 2023 and carried a 3.786 cumulative GPA with the Pack.
