Jake Johnson joined the CSU Pueblo Football coaching staff in March of 2026 and enters his first year with the Pack in 2026. In his role with the Pack, Johnson will serve as a defensive assistant and special teams analyst.
 
Prior to joining the ThunderWolves, Johnson served as Outside Linebackers coach and Director of Operations with the College of the Sequoias in California. During his time with the Giants, Johnson coached all-conference selection Josiah Harris (Robert Morris) and all-state selection Tokyo Gordon (Sam Houston State). College of the Sequoias eclipsed seven wins for the first time in 19 years in 2025, as well as making three-straight bowl games. Over 50 student-athletes moved on to four-year schools during Johnson’s three years at the College of the Sequoias.
