Colorado State University Pueblo first-year head football coach Philip Vigil has announced the hiring of Garrett Graf as the ThunderWolves' co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.

Graf comes to the Pack after spending the past four seasons as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator on Bill Maskill's staff at Midwestern State University, which is a member of the Lone Star Conference. Prior to working at Midwestern State, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant offensive line coach at his alma mater – the University of Texas.

"Coach Graf has been around some of the best football minds in Division I. He played offensive line at Texas, and also coached there under Tom Herman. At Midwestern State, his run game was the top of Graf Familythe most major rushing categories in the Lone Star Conference," Vigil said about Graf. "I have no doubt that he will continue that dominance here at CSU Pueblo."

During his time as a graduate assistant at Texas, Graf acted as the lead recruiter for on-campus visits, organized and taught offseason position meetings for offensive linemen, mentored graduate transfers and held responsibility for his unit's academic progress as well as newcomer's integration into college courses at UT.

He shadowed veteran offensive line coach Herb Hand in practice assisting with drill work, while also coordinating and organizing the defensive scout team.

As a player, Graf competed three seasons with the Longhorns as a walk-on offensive lineman before earning a scholarship prior to his senior season in 2017.

During his senior year, he played in three games as he made appearances against San Jose State, Baylor and Kansas. He made his collegiate debut as a junior in 2016 in a 41-7 win over UTEP.

Graf earned Academic All-Big XII honors in 2017, was a four-time member of the Big XII Commissioner's Honor Roll and was twice named to the Texas Athletic Director Honor Roll.

Prior to walking on with the Longhorns, Graf was a three-year starter and two-time All-District offensive tackle at South Grand Prairie High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Texas in 2017 and a Master of Education in Sports Management from UT in 2019.
