Blake Moffett is in his third season coaching the ThunderWolves' running backs in 2025.
In two seasons at CSU-Pueblo, Moffett coached Kiahn Martinez, who was a Second-Team All-Conference selection in 2023, as well as, Howard Russell, who was awarded First-Team All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American honors in 2024.
Moffett came to CSU Pueblo after spending two seasons (2021-22) as an offensive graduate assistant Quarterback coach at Mary Hardin Baylor.

In his time with the Cru, Moffett worked with an offense that finished in the Top 10 in first-down offense and scoring offense in 2022. He also coached 2022 Division III Gagliardi Award finalist Kyle King at quarterback.

He was also involved with offensive game planning and, on game days, charted plays and coverages, and assisted with halftime adjustments from the press box.
Additionally, he served as the Offensive Coordinator for MHB’s Junior Varsity football team and served as an assistant recruiting coordinator.
Prior to working at Mary Hardin Baylor, Moffett spent four years as a student assistant football coach at the University of Texas. In his position with the Longhorns, Moffett coached the running backs and wide receivers. He was also the live play signaler on game days.
Moffett helped the Longhorns to a pair of Alamo Bowl Championships, a Sugar Bowl Championship, and a Texas Bowl Championship. He also coached former Longhorn players Bijan Robinson, Keaontay Ingram, and Devin Duvernay, all of whom currently play in the NFL.
As a high school player, Moffett played receiver and safety at Fredericksburg High School. He graduated from Fredericksburg in 2017. As a senior, he recorded 52 total tackles, 35 solo stops and averaged 5.2 tackles for game and had 2.0 tackles for loss and one interception. As a receiver as a senior, he caught 19 passes for 348 yards and averaged 18.3 yards per reception and had seven touchdown receptions. He also lettered in basketball and baseball with the Billies.

He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Movement Science from the University of Texas in 2020 and is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Mary Hardin Baylor that is expected to be completed in 2024.
