2009 (At Northern Colorado): Pitched in three innings in two appearances, allowing nine earned runs on seven hits, walking five and striking out two... Both appearances were on the road, as he threw two innings at New Mexico State and one at Tulane.

High School: Graduated in 2008 from Thomas Jefferson High School where he earned four letters in baseball and two in football... Named to the All-State First-Team in both 2007 and 2008 as well as conference pitcher of the year as a senior... Was a three-time First-Team All-Conference pick and tallied a 15-2 record on the hill his final two seasons... Named to the high school''s honor roll all four years.... Spartans were the state runners-up in both 2007 and 2008 and won four consecutive conference titles.

Personal: Is the oldest of two sons of Toni and Paul Smith.  Has a younger brother, Kyle, who is currently playing with RMAC foe, Metro State ... Born in Denver on Sept. 24, 1989... Is planning on majoring in business ... Enjoys skiing, fishing and hunting.
