Tanner Foerschler

Tanner Foerschler joined the Pack in the summer of 2020. Foerschler was the first  person to join Head Coach Damian Stambersky's staff at CSU Pueblo.

Foerschler follows Stambersky to the Pack from the University of Central Missouri. He spent two years as a Graduate Assistant for the Mules, working with the infielders. Foerschler also served as a hitting coach, and a baserunning coach, while also assisting the mules recruiting efforts.  He is expected to work in many of those same capacities at CSU Pueblo.
 
During Foerschler’s two years in Warrensburg, the Mules went 66-19 (.776). In his one full season at Central Missouri, the Mules went 46-16 and advanced to the NCAA Super Regionals, where they finish third in the nation.
 
Defensively, Foerschler’s infield led all divisions in double plays turned. They averaged 1.0 double plays per game.
 
Foerschler contributed to a Mules offense that hit .334 with 63 home runs and a D-II-best 722 hits.  His baserunning guidance helped the Mules steal 107 bases, 20th-most in D-II. The Mules were ranked seventh in D-II with 56 steals before the 2020 came to an abrupt halt.
 
Before he came to Central Missouri, Foerschler worked as the Assistant Coach for Kansas City Kansas Community College for the 2018 season. Once again, he worked with the infielders and served as a hitting coach and recruiting coordinator. 
 
Foerschler helped the Blue Devils to a 34-26 record. Under Foerschler’s guidance Kevin Santiago hit .386 with 11 home runs and 63 RBIs.
 
Foerschler started his college career at KCKCC.  As a sophomore, he won a National Gold Glove thanks to a team-best .995 fielding percentage. Foerschler, hit .376 on his way to a Second Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference honors.
 
After a successful career at KCKCC, Foerschler continued his education and continued to play baseball at William Jewell College.  Foerschler hit .308 as a senior.
 
At William Jewell, Foerschler earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports & Recreation. He received his master’s degree in Sports Management from Central Missouri in 2020.
