At Northwest Nazarene (2012-13): Went 2-2 with a 4.67 ERA in 14 appearances in 2012 ... Was a key middle reliever, recording the fourth-most appearances on the team ... Made eight appearances on the mound in 2013, all in relief.

At Taft College (2011): Played the 2011 season at Taft College in Taft, Calif.

Personal: Son of Lorne and Donna Nielsen.  Has four siblings: Sarah, Russel, Courtney and Mitchell.  Brother Russell played hockey for the University of Regina from 2008-2013.  He enjoys sports and traveling. Born on 07/06/90.
