Rick was an outstanding golfer from Pueblo who died at an early age due to cancer. His parents, Bob and Edda Lou Pobst, founded the Rick Pobst Memorial Golf Scholarship in 1988 to help provide money for CSU-Pueblo golf scholarships, as well as to remind people of their son's great accomplishments on and off the golf course.
