2017 (Jr.): All-RMAC First Team ... All-NFFCC First Team ... Finished tied for fourth on the team with 58 tackles (25 solo) ... Compiled 7.0 tackles for loss (-17 yards) with twos sacks (-10 yards) ... Recorded one interception and a break-up ... At the end of the season, the ThunderWolves were top 20 nationally in scoring defense (10th), total defense (10th), turnovers gained (11th) and passing yards allowed (18th).
2016 (So.): Played in 11 and started 10 games at outside linebacker ... Finished fifth on the team with 51 tackles (22 solo) ... Compiled 4.5 tackles for loss (-12 yards) ... Added 1.5 sacks (-5 yards) ... Recorded five games with five or more tackles ... Posted a season high nine tackles (four solo) with 1.5 sacks (-5 yards) against Dixie State (Nov. 5).
2015 (R-Fr.): Played in 12 games … Made eight tackles with five solo stops … Collected a career-best three total tackles in the Pack’s NCAA Regional win over UIndy (Nov. 21).
2014 (RS): Redshirted in 2014.
High School: Was an all-conference pick in both football and basketball in 2013... Also earned second team all-conference honors as a linebacker and first team honors as an "athlete"... Played for coach Andy Pyne and the Eagles... Named Northern Conference''s MVP defensive back... Also competes in track and field.
Personal: Is the son of Aweys Spare and Halima Ibranim ... Brother, Abdi Shongolo, plays football at Adams State ... A sociology (criminology) major at CSU-Pueblo.
