COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday afternoon that Colorado State University Pueblo's Lisa Ekberg has been named the RMAC Women's Golfer of the Week following her standout performance at the Southern Colorado Open.

Ekberg earned the conference's weekly honor after capturing medalist honors at CSU Pueblo's home tournament, leading the ThunderWolves to their fourth team title of the season at Walking Stick Golf Course. The freshman standout tied for first overall in a competitive field, posting a two-round score of 143 (72-71) to finish at 1-under par for the tournament.

After opening the event with an even-par 72, Ekberg surged into the top spot with a 1-under 71 in the final round, showcasing her consistency and composure down the stretch. Her performance not only secured her a share of the individual title but also marked the top finish among all RMAC competitors in the field.

Ekberg's efforts played a pivotal role in CSU Pueblo's team victory, as the ThunderWolves posted rounds of 295 and 293 to claim the title by five strokes. The win marked the Pack's fourth team championship of the season and further solidified their standing as one of the top teams in the region.

With the honor, Ekberg becomes the second ThunderWolf this season to earn RMAC Golfer of the Week recognition, as Thale Victoria Estensen previously earned the award on September 18 during the fall campaign. The recognition continues a strong year for CSU Pueblo women's golf, highlighting the depth and consistency of the Pack lineup.
