PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics Department posted an outstanding 2005 fall semester in the classroom as the ThunderWolves' student-athletes posted a 3.114 cumulative grade point average in the recently completed fall semester.
Among the department's 20 intercollegiate athletic teams, 15 of them recorded grade point averages over 3.00 for the fall semester. The women's golf team posted the highest overall team GPA in the department with a 3.939, while the men's cross country team had the highest team GPA for a CSU Pueblo men's athletic team with a 3.478.
Since 2018, the teams in the CSU Pueblo athletic department has continued to improve in the classroom each semester as in the fall semester of 2018, CSU Pueblo's teams had a combined team GPA of 3.035 as only 12 of the department's athletic teams recorded over a 3.0 GPA and over the last three fall semesters, Pack Athletics has had team GPA's of 3.259 in 2025, 3.216 in 2024, and a department-record 3.324 GPA in 2023.

Along with boasting a 3.113 fall term GPA overall among the department's student-athletes, the ThunderWolves' also had 99 student-athletes during the fall semester record a perfect 4.0 GPA, including the football team tallying an department best 16 student-athletes with 4.0 GPA's, while another 150 student-athletes recorded a GPA of 3.50 or better during the 2025 fall semester.

CSU Pueblo Athletics currently features 20 intercollegiate athletic teams competing at the NCAA Division II level and the school is a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The department finished 44th in the Learfield Division II Directors' Cup standings during the 2025 fall semester, tallying 117.5 points thanks to a 10th-place finish in women's cross country at the NCAA Division II National Championships and NCAA postseason appearances in both football and volleyball.
