PUEBLO, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo women's basketball watched a commanding performance slip away late, as the Pack fell 73–70 to Colorado School of Mines on Thursday night at Massari Arena.
CSU Pueblo controlled the game for the majority of the evening, leading for more than 35 minutes and building a 16-point advantage in the second quarter. The Pack set the tone early, jumping out to a 19–6 lead after the opening period and carrying that momentum into halftime behind balanced scoring and strong defensive pressure.
The Pack continued to dictate play in the third quarter, outscoring Mines 21–17 and entering the final frame with a nine-point cushion. However, the fourth quarter proved costly, as CSU Pueblo struggled to find offensive rhythm down the stretch.
Colorado School of Mines erupted for 28 points in the final 10 minutes, shooting 64.3 percent from the field and 75 percent from three-point range in the quarter. The Orediggers erased the deficit and took their first lead of the night late, completing the comeback after trailing by as many as 16.

CSU Pueblo finished the night shooting 45.6 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from beyond the arc, but turnovers and missed opportunities late proved costly. Mines converted 25 points off turnovers and outscored the Pack 28–12 in the fourth quarter to secure the win.
Mines was led by Sofia Baldessari, who recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Quincey Baum added 17 points, while Jenna Shandy scored 16 points and Emma Sixta contributed 10 points and seven assists as the Orediggers' balanced attack fueled the late rally.
