PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 29, 2025) — Colorado State University Pueblo senior outside hitter Caelyn Gunn has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
The Denton, Texas native powered the ThunderWolves to a perfect 2-0 weekend on the road, lifting CSU Pueblo to 4-0 in RMAC play and placing the Pack alone atop the conference standings.
Gunn was dominant on the attack, tallying 35 kills across eight sets for an average of 4.38 kills per set, while hitting an efficient .292 on 89 total swings. She also contributed on the defensive end, recording 27 digs (3.38 per set) and adding four blocks to her all-around performance.
Her weekend was highlighted by a career weekend of consistency — delivering 20 kills and 13 digs in Friday's thrilling five-set comeback victory at South Dakota Mines before following up with a 15-kill, 14-dig double-double in Saturday's sweep at Black Hills State.
"Caelyn set the tone for us all weekend," said head coach Jordan Bruere. "Her ability to take big swings in key moments and also contribute in the back row shows why she's one of the top players in our conference. We're proud to see her efforts recognized."
The honor marks Gunn's first RMAC weekly award of the 2025 season and further establishes her as one of the conference's premier offensive threats. Through the opening weeks of the season, Gunn leads the Pack in both kills (182, 4.44 per set) and total points.
CSU Pueblo (8-3, 4-0 RMAC) now turns its attention to a pair of home matches at Massari Arena. The Pack will host UCCS tomorrow evening at 6:00 p.m. for their annual "So Long Summer Match", before returning Friday night to battle Regis at 6:00 p.m.
