PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 25, 2025) — In a wild back-and-forth affair at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium, the No. 8 ranked CSU Pueblo men's soccer team rallied from a two-goal deficit to secure a 3-3 draw against Regis in nonconference action Thursday evening.
The Rangers (2-2-2) struck first in the 20th minute when Rayhan Carlson-Du Toit converted off an assist from goalkeeper Zach Jennings. Regis doubled its lead in the 40th as Elias Taubo capitalized on a setup from Jacobo Betancourt-Tovar, sending the Pack into halftime trailing 2-0.
The ThunderWolves (3-0-4) roared back early in the second half. Will Boyle (R-Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) broke through in the 48th minute, finishing a pass from Jacob Galloway ((Jr., Beverly, England) to cut the deficit to 2-1. Regis answered in the 55th with Carlson-Du Toit's second goal of the match, but CSU Pueblo refused to go away.
Mohammed Shahabodien (Gr., Johannesburg, South Africa) ignited the comeback in the 78th minute, finding the net off a feed from Matty Parkes (So., Newcastle, England). Just three minutes later, goalkeeper Esteban Gonzalez (Jr., Brussels, Belgium) made a rare mark on the scoresheet, burying a penalty kick in the 81st minute to level the contest at 3-3.
Despite chances for both sides in the closing minutes, neither team could find a winner. CSU Pueblo outshot Regis 14-8, including 10-2 in the second half, while also earning an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks. Gonzalez finished with two saves in the net while also scoring the equalizer.
The result keeps the Pack unbeaten through their first seven matches of the season (3-0-4).
