Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

ThunderWolves explode for 5-0 win over Saint Martin's

MONMOUTH, Ore. (Sept. 20, 2025) – The No. 3-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team rolled to a dominant 5-0 victory over Saint Martin's University Saturday morning at the WOU Soccer Field. With the win, the ThunderWolves improve to 3-0-3 on the season and close out their Pacific Northwest road swing on a high note.

The Pack wasted little time taking control, as Matty Parkes (So., Newcastle, England) opened the scoring in the 9th minute with his third goal of the season, finishing off an assist from Nick Cenek (Gr., Peoria, Ill.). Less than 21 minutes later, Will Boyle (R-So., Tempe, Ariz.) doubled the lead, burying his first goal of the season after a combination from Brandon Sanchez (Jr., Tucson, Ariz.) and Logan Cozier (R-So., Pickering, Ontario, Canada). Just three minutes later, Pedro Martinez Castro (Fr., Langreo, Spain) added his first goal of the year, slotting home a feed from Yahel Paramo Caudillo (Jr., Leon, Mexico), giving CSU Pueblo a 3-0 advantage at the break.

The ThunderWolves kept the pressure on in the second half. Cenek found the net in the 61st minute, set up by Boyle, before So Nagano (Sr., Kobe, Japan) capped the scoring just three minutes later with his first career strike in a ThunderWolves kit.

Defensively, the Pack were rock solid, allowing just four shots on the day and none on frame. Goalkeepers Esteban Gonzalez (Jr., Brussels, Belgium) and Tristan Whitlock (R-Sr., Lincoln, Neb.) combined for the shutout, the team's sixth clean sheet in as many games to start the season.

Cenek led the attack with a goal and an assist on four shots, while Boyle chipped in a goal and an assist of his own. Parkes and Nagano each recorded their third and first goals of the year, respectively.

CSU Pueblo outshot the Saints 14-4 and finished with an 8-0 edge in shots on goal. Saint Martin's goalkeeper Connor Leistiko made three saves despite conceding five.

Coach Comments
"Happy to have a lot of different guys get on the score sheet today and see them express themselves in the attacking half, said Pack Head Coach Nick Blackwell. "Really enjoyed our ability to spend time together on the road and grow this group off the pitch."

"Excited to get back to Colorado and compete against our first teams from the RMAC."

The ThunderWolves now return home to Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium where they begin a four-game homestand, starting Thursday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. against Regis University.
