PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 18, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team earned its second draw of the season Thursday evening as the ThunderWolves and Cal Poly Humboldt battled to a 0-0 result at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The ThunderWolves defense stood strong for 90 minutes, limiting the Lumberjacks to just two shots on goal.
At the net, Pack goalkeepers
Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) and
Miya Begay (Fr., West Valley City, Utah) combined for the shutout as each played one half between the posts.
The back line was tremendous anchored by
Mara Ganje (Sr., Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) and
Samara Sanders (Fr., Dallas, Tex.) held firm to deny Humboldt's late pressure.
On the offensive end, CSU Pueblo generated two shots and one SOG, but could not find the breakthrough goal. Despite several promising buildups in the second half, the final touch eluded the Pack in front of goal.
With the result, CSU Pueblo moves to 1-2-2 on the year and will wrap up nonconference play on Sunday with a match-up against Emporia State starting at Noon at Gonzales Stadium.
