PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 11, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision to Angelo State Thursday evening at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
The Rambelles struck early, netting three goals in the opening 30 minutes to take control of the match. Sanai Stewart opened the scoring in the 12th minute before Christina Clark and Emily Thames added back-to-back goals just two minutes apart.
In the second half, Angelo State extended its lead when Abby James converted a penalty kick in the 58th minute to cap the scoring.
Despite the result, the ThunderWolves created several quality chances, finishing with  five total shots and three on target.
Maya Bethelmie (Fr., Waltham Forest, England) and
Evie Wysong (Sr., Bel Air, Maryland) each tested the ASU keeper in the first half, while
Caytlynn Garland (Jr., Gillette, Wyo.) and
Mara Ganje (Sr., Inve Grove Heights, Minn.) generated looks after the break. Goalkeeper
Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) recorded two saves in over 83 minutes of action before giving way to
Miya Begay (Fr., West Valley City, Utah), who closed teh match in net.
The ThunderWolves move to 1-2-1 on the season.
