ThunderWolves earn road draw at Fort Hays State

HAYS, Kan. (Sept. 11, 2025) - The No. 3 ranked Colorado State University Pueblo men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw Thursday evening against No. 22 Fort Hays State at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.

The ThunderWolves (1-0-2) showed grit on the road, fending off 10 shots from the Tigers while generating six of their own. Goalkeeper Esteban Gonzalez (Jr., Brussels, Belgium) anchored the Pack defense, recording five saves across 90 minutes to secure another clean sheet this season.

The first half saw Fort Hays State apply steady pressure with eight corner kicks and five shots, but Gonzalez stood tall with three saves before the break. CSU Pueblo's best looks came in the second half with attempts from Pedro Martinez Castro (Fr., Langreo, Spain), Will Boyle (R-Jr., Fort Collins, Colo.) and Yahel Paramo Caudillo (Jr., Leon, Mexico), but each effort was denied by FHSU keeper Payton Roehrich.
