PUEBLO, Colo. (Sept. 11, 2025) - Colorado State University Pueblo's
Caelyn Gunn (Sr., Denton, Tex.) and
Roman Fuller (Sr., Decatur, Tex.) have been named the first Pack Student-Athletes of the Week for the 2025-26 year, presented Chick-fil-A.
Gunn and Pack volleyball opened the year at the West Texas Invite and finished 1-3 for the weekend. Gunn played in all four matches and recorded a team-high 58 kills and earned a remarkable 4.46 kills per set. She totaled 47 digs and a 3.62 digs per set and two blocks.
For the weekend, Gunn registered double-digit kills in all four matches and in the weekend finale against Texas A&M International, a 3-0 shutout over the Dustdevils, Gunn had 20 kills and recorded a service ace in the match.
Up next for Pack volleyball, they return to Texas and will compete at the Lubbock Christian Invite. They will face-off against Lubbock Christian, Eastern New Mexico, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Lubbock Christian.
On the men's side, Fuller had a standout performance in the Pack's 36-35 home loss last Thursday against Fort Hays State. In the game, Fuller completed nearly 76 percent of his passes as he was 34-for-45 passing for a season-high 251 yards and tossed three touchdown passes of 17 yards, 2 yards and 2 yards, and also scored a touchdown on a 20-yard run just 12 seconds into the fourth quarter.
In the game, Fuller finished with 366 yards of total offense and along with his 351 passing yards, he added 14 yards rushing.
Through two games this season, Fuller is 57-for-80 for 582 yards and has tossed five touchdown passes and has not thrown an interception. He has completed 71.3 percent of his passes. He is averaging 291.0 passing yards per game, which is second in the latest RMAC statistics.
Up next, Pack football goes on the road and battles at Central Missouri on Thursday at 6 p.m. (MT) in Warrensburg, Mo.
