LAKEWOOD, Colo. (April 30, 2025) - Colorado State University Pueblo softball opened the 2025 RMAC Tournament with a tough 9-3 loss against University of Colorado Colorado Springs in the first round Wednesday at All Star Park.
The Mountain Lions jumped out early and scored two runs early in the first inning, adding insurance runs in the fourth and seventh frames. The ThunderWolves showed fight late, scoring all three of their runs in the bottom of the seventh, but the rally camp up short.
Taylor Brower (Jr., Vacaville, Calif.) led the charge offensively for the Pack, driving in two runs as part of CSU Pueblo's late push.
Raelynn Rogers (Sr., Surprise, Ariz.) also chipped in with a run scored and an RBI.
Four ThunderWolves recorded at least one hit in the game.

McKenna James (12-13) took the loss, pitching 3.1 innings and surrendering five runs on eight hits while striking out two.
With the loss, CSU Pueblo moves into the consolation bracket and await its next opponent. The Pack will look to bounce back Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. at All Star Park.
