LAKEWOOD, Colo. (April 25, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team dropped the first two games of a four-game set at Colorado Christian on Friday, falling 13-3 (6 inn.) in game one and losing 5-0 in the nightcap.
The ThunderWolves were led by
Madelyn Huerta (Jr., Azusa, Calif.) who had two hits along with two RBI and a run.
Game One recap
Huerta batted in two runs in game one and was followed by a RBI-single from
Caitlyn Cole (Jr., Merced, Calif.) for a three-run fifth inning in game one.
The Cougars scored multiple runs in three innings including putting up a five-spot in the sixth inning to come away with the run-rule victory.
Game Two recap
CSU Pueblo was held to two hits in the 5-0 shutout.
Huerta and
Juliannah Jimenez (So., Elk Grove, Calif.) both recorded a hit.
On Deck
The teams will wrap the series on Saturday with two more games starting at 10 a.m. at All Star Park.
