Women's Golf Takes Advantage On Moving Day; Look To Cap Off Three-Peat Tomorrow In The Final Round

ThunderWolves Sit In Second Place, Just Two Shots Back Of The Lead

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team capitalized on moving day at the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in Boulder City, Nevada, climbing into second place after a solid second round at Boulder Creek Golf Club.

The ThunderWolves posted an 8-over 296 on the day, bringing their tournament total to 13-over par—just two strokes behind first-place Colorado Christian University, who also shot a 296 on the day.

CSU Pueblo, who entered the round in third, now finds itself squarely in the hunt for a historic three-peat RMAC title. While their postseason hopes are likely secure, the team is eyeing the ultimate prize: another conference championship to add to the trophy case.

Leading the charge was fifth-year senior Alyssa McMillen, who fired an even-par 72 to back up her fine one-under round yesterday. McMillen's steady play has her sitting in solo second on the individual leaderboard.

Teammate Zoey Rodriguez, a Pueblo native, bounced back nicely from an opening-round 78, carding a 1-over 73 in round two.

Freya Constable, the Scottish standout and RMAC Player of the Year hopeful, turned in a 3-over 75, placing her in 11th overall. Freshman Yale Lee, competing in her first conference championship, stayed consistent with a 4-over 76 as she continues her impressive debut season.

After leading the team in round one with a 2-under 70, Lisa Ekberg stumbled on day two with a 9-over 81. However, Ekberg has shown resilience throughout the season, bouncing back from disappointing rounds and will look to fire back in the final round.

With tough high-desert winds and a challenging 6,000-yard layout at Coyote Run at Boulder Creek Golf Club, conditions tested the entire field—but the ThunderWolves rose to the occasion. Now just two strokes off the lead, they'll be in the final pairing alongside Colorado Christian and Westminster University (17-over) for what promises to be an exciting final round.
