PUEBLO, Colo. (April 19, 2025) - The Colorado State University Pueblo softball team wrapped up its final home series of the regular season with a doubleheader split against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) rival Colorado School of Mines on Saturday with Mines taking game one by a score of 8-3, before the ThunderWolves bounced back in a big way in the series finale with a dominant 9-2 victory.
With the series split, CSU Pueblo's record moves to 27-20 overall and 26-14 in RMAC play.
The day was highlighted by Senior Day festivities and CSU Pueblo Head Coach
Bianca Duran, her staff and players recognized six departing players who made an appearance on the diamond for the last time at Rawlings Softball Complex.
Delaney Barela (5th., Pueblo, Colo.),
Lucy Carney (Sr., Lakewood, Colo.),
Ashley Tosh (Sr., Fremont, Calif.),
Zoie Armstrong (Sr., Lincoln, Neb.),
Raelynn Rogers (Sr., Surprise, Ariz.) and
Tori Cordova (Sr., Pueblo West, Colo.) were all recognized and presented a gift following the games.
For the day,
Madelyn Huerta (Jr., Azusa, Calif.) led the team with three hits  and three RBI.
Caitlyn Cole (Jr., Merced, Calif.), along with Rogers and Tosh, each tallied two hits. Cole hit a home run in game two and scored four runs and earned three walks on the day.Â
In the circle, Carney was the pitcher of record in both contests and earned her second win of the season in the finale, helping to seal the victory for the Pack.
Offensively, CSU Pueblo collected two home runs and three doubles across the doubleheader.
On Deck
The ThunderWolves now turn their attention to the final weekend of the regular season as they travel north to take on Colorado Christian in a four-game series starting Friday at All Star Park in Lakewood.
