PUEBLO, Colo. (Nov. 5, 2025) — The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team secured its spot in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Tournament after a 1-1 draw Wednesday afternoon against nationally ranked No. 7 Colorado School of Mines at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
With the result, CSU Pueblo earns the 8-seed in the tournament and will face-off against 7-seed Adams State on Friday at 2 p.m. in the first round at ASU Soccer Field in Alamosa.
The ThunderWolves (4-8-6, 3-5-4 RMAC) capped off the regular season with a resilient effort, rallying late to equalize against one of the league's top teams.
Mines opened the scoring in the 29th minute on a long-range free kick from Bella Campos that found the back of the net. Despite trailing 1-0 at the half, CSU Pueblo's defense—anchored by goalkeeper Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden), who tallied nine saves, kept the Orediggers at bay throughout the match, including a clutch stop on a Mines penalty kick in the 86th minute.
With time winding down, the Pack broke through in the 89th minute when Carlia Johnson (R-Sr., The Valley, Anguilla) buried a shot off a feed from Cameron Farthing (Sr., Coventry, England) leveling the match and sealing a crucial result that ensured CSU Pueblo's postseason berth.
Mines finished with an 18-8 shot advantage and 16 corner kicks, but the Pack's defensive discipline and timely saves made the difference.
