ThunderWolves Season Concludes in Road Battle at Adams State

ALAMOSA, Colo. (Nov. 7, 2025) — The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team closed out its 2025 campaign Friday afternoon, falling 2-0 on the road to Adams State in the first round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament at the ASU Soccer & Lacrosse Field.

The Grizzlies struck early, finding the back of the net twice within the first seven minutes of play to grab a quick 2-0 advantage. CSU Pueblo settled in defensively after the opening flurry, holding Adams State scoreless for the remaining 83 minutes of action.

Ruthie Landwehr (Fr., Enumclaw, Wash.) led the ThunderWolves with three shots, including one on goal, while Abby Menk (Jr., Delano, Minn.) and Mackenzie Fryxell (Jr., Corona, Calif.) each recorded a shot on target. Freshman goalkeeper Alva Hellenius (Stockholm, Sweden.) made one save across 76 minutes before giving way to Judit Fabregat (Fr., Terrassa, Barcelona, Spain) who closed the match in relief.

CSU Pueblo tallied 11 total shots and three corner kicks in the match, while Adams State finished with 12 shots and three shots on goal.

The ThunderWolves conclude the 2025 season with a 4-9-6 overall record and a 3-5-4 showing in RMAC play. Despite the final result, the Pack showed strong development throughout the campaign under head coach John Constable, highlighted by a competitive conference slate and key performances from a young roster.
