Pack Erupt for Four Second-Half Goals to Down N.M. Highlands

LAS VEGAS, N.M. (Nov. 2, 2025) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team closed its regular season road schedule in emphatic fashion, scoring four second-half goals to surge past New Mexico Highlands 4–2 Sunday afternoon at Cowgirl Field.

Trailing 1–0 at the break, the ThunderWolves (4-8-5, 3-5-3 RMAC) caught fire after halftime. Carlia Johnson (R-Sr., The Valley, Anguilla) netted two goals—including the eventual game-winner in the 86th minute—while Corin Viamille (Fr., Evanston, Ill.) and Caytlynn Garland (Jr., Gillette, Wyo.) each added tallies to complete the comeback.

Highlands (1-14-0, 0-11-0 RMAC) took an early lead in the 26th minute, but Johnson's equalizer in the 51st minute leveled the match. Viamille put the Pack ahead just six minutes later off a rebound before the Cowgirls tied things again at 2–2 in the 77th minute.

In the closing stages, CSU Pueblo's attack overwhelmed the hosts. Johnson converted a pass from Viamille in the 86th minute for her second of the day, and Garland sealed the victory moments later with her second goal of the season.

Viamille finished with a goal and an assist, while Garland and Johnson combined for three of the Pack's four goals on 13 shots on target.

Goalkeeper Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) was steady in net, recording six saves to earn the win. The ThunderWolves outshot the Cowgirls 19–13 and earned an impressive 11 corner kicks to Highlands' two.
