PUEBLO, Colo. – The No. 5/7th-ranked Colorado State University Pueblo football team earned the No. 3 seed in Super Region 4 as the field was announced for the 2025 NCAA Division II Football Championships on Sunday afternoon.
CSU Pueblo, who concluded the regular season on Saturday with a 30-27 double-overtime win on Senior Day against 22nd-ranked Chadron State to claim its second straight Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and its 10th all-time league title in school history, will host a first round game on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 1 p.m. in the ThunderBowl against UT-Permian Basin, who is 9-2 overall and finished tied for second in the Lone Star Conference with a 7-2 record. Harding, Central Washington, CSU Pueblo, and Pittsburg State were the automatic qualifiers after winning their respective conference championships.
The ThunderWolves are making their 10th all-time NCAA Division II playoff appearance this season as they have posted a 9-9 record in NCAA Playoffs, including being 5-4 in home playoff games. The Pack captured the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship.

Northwest Missouri State has won the most national titles of this year's playoff field with six, while Ferris State, which is the No. 1 seed in Super Region 3, has won three titles, and Minnesota-Duluth and Pittsburg State have each won two titles.
The 2025 NCAA Division II playoffs will culminate with the championship game scheduled for Dec. 20 at McKinney ISD Stadium in McKinney, Texas. Last season, Ferris State captured its third title in the last four seasons with a 49-14 win over Valdosta State.
