Stankovic Named RMAC Setter of the Week After Leading the Pack to Road Sweep

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado State University Pueblo junior setter Elena Stankovic, from Čajetina, Serbia, has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Setter of the Week, announced Monday by the league office.

Stankovic earned the honor following a dominant performance in the ThunderWolves' straight-set victory over New Mexico Highlands on Saturday in Las Vegas, New Mexico. The junior orchestrated one of CSU Pueblo's most efficient offensive outings of the season, recording 35 assists in just three sets while guiding the Pack to a season-best .424 team hitting percentage.

In addition to her precise playmaking, Stankovic contributed in every facet of the match—adding three kills, three blocks, and two service aces—as the ThunderWolves cruised to their third consecutive win and maintained sole possession of third place in the RMAC standings.

"Elena's composure and confidence set the tone for our entire team," said Head Coach Jordan Bruere. "She made great decisions all night and kept our offense in rhythm. Her consistency and leadership continue to elevate everyone around her."

The weekly honor marks Stankovic's second career RMAC award and the ThunderWolves' fourth Player of the Week recognition of the 2025 season. Through 25 matches, Stankovic ranks among the RMAC leaders with 9.44 assists per set, running one of the most balanced and efficient offenses in the conference.

CSU Pueblo (16-7, 8-3 RMAC) returns to Massari Arena on Tuesday night for Club Night, hosting Adams State University in the final week of the regular season.
