ALAMOSA, Colo. (October 30, 2025) — The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team was unable to overcome a strong showing from Adams State on Thursday afternoon, falling 2-0 in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference matchup at the ASU Soccer & Lacrosse Field.
The ThunderWolves (3-8-5, 2-5-3 RMAC) were limited to just one shot in the contest, which came in the 70th minute off the foot of Maya Bethelmie (Fr., Waltham Forest, England), while the Grizzlies (7-6-3, 3-5-2 RMAC) capitalized on a pair of goals in each half to secure the victory.
Adams State opened the scoring in the 34th minute and added an insurance goal in the 81st minute.
Between the posts, Miya Begay (Fr., West Valley City, Utah) recorded two saves in just over 33 minutes of action before Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) entered and finished the match, facing five shots.
CSU Pueblo's defense worked hard throughout the afternoon, led by Evie Wysong (Sr., Bel Air, Maryland), Caytlynn Garland (Jr., Gillette, Wyo.) and Mackenzie Fryxell (Jr., Corona, Calif.) each logging 90 minutes. Cameron Farthing (Sr., Coventry, England) also played the full match, earning a yellow card in the second half as part of the team's physical midfield effort.
The Pack was whistled for nine fouls compared to Adams State's seven and held a 1-0 edge in corner kicks during the opening half.
Up next, CSU Pueblo continues its road trip Sunday at New Mexico Highlands, closing the weekend with another key RMAC match.
