Women's Golf Earns No. 17 National Ranking In WGCA Coaches Poll Headed Into Mid Season Break

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team continues to gain national attention, earning the No. 17 ranking in the latest Division II Mizuno Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll.

The ranking comes just one week after the ThunderWolves were slotted No. 16 in the Clippd Division II National Poll, marking back-to-back national top-20 appearances for the first time ever in both polls.

The ThunderWolves capped off a dominant fall campaign in which they captured three tournament victories out of four appearances. CSU Pueblo began its winning ways in Denver on September 8–9, followed by another title at the Sheridan, Wyoming Invitational on September 15–16. The Pack then closed the fall season in style, rallying to win their fall finale at the Waikoloa Beach Resort in Hawaii.

The lone non-victory of the fall was still an impressive showing, as the ThunderWolves hosted and placed third at the NCAA Division II West Regional Preview at Pueblo Country Club on October 13–15. The event gave CSU Pueblo valuable experience on their home course, which will serve as the host site for the 2026 NCAA Division II West Regional. A third-place finish next May would secure the Pack a trip to the NCAA National Championships.

In the national landscape, Wingate University claimed the top spot in the WGCA Poll, while defending national champion Dallas Baptist University sits at No. 2. The Patriots, who will compete in the same West Region as the ThunderWolves, are the region's highest-ranked team. CSU Pueblo stands as the only Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) school represented in the national rankings.

According to Clippd's individual rankings, which operate separately from the WGCA, the ThunderWolves boast two players inside the nation's top 40. Sophomore standout Yale Lee is ranked No. 30, while Norwegian freshman Thale Victoria Estensen checks in at No. 39 after earning an individual tournament victory this fall.

With three fall titles and national recognition in hand, CSU Pueblo will now turn its focus to the spring championship season. The Pack will return to action in early 2026 as they continue their pursuit of regional and national success.
