ThunderWolves Fall 2-0 to Westminster at Home

PUEBLO, Colo. (Oct. 24, 2025) — The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team came up short Friday evening, dropping a 2-0 decision to Westminster University in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

The Griffins capitalized on an early opportunity in the 12th minute when Kara Dickey scored off a long service from Gracie East to give Westminster a 1-0 lead. The visitors extended their advantage midway through the second half as Sage Stott found the back of the net in the 62nd minute to secure the 2-0 result.

Offensively, the ThunderWolves managed two shots, including one on frame from freshman forward Maya Bethelmie (Fr., Waltham Forest, England), while the defense battled to hold Westminster to just six second-half attempts. Goalkeepers Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) and Miya Begay (Fr., West Valley City, Utah) split time in goal, combining for five saves across 90 minutes.

CSU Pueblo's backline, anchored by Ruthie Landwehr (Fr., Enumclaw, Wash.), Cameron Farthing (Sr., Coventry, England), and Faith Moa (R-So., Auckland, New Zealand), limited Westminster's looks from open play despite the visitors' heavy possession throughout the evening.

With the loss, CSU Pueblo moves to 3-6-5 overall and 2-3-3 in RMAC competition.
