DENVER, Colo. (Oct. 2, 2025) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team fell 2-1 Thursday evening against Regis University in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play at Regis Turf Fields.
The Rangers (7-1-1, 3-0-0 RMAC) jumped ahead early, striking in the 12th minute. Regis doubled its lead in the 29th minute.
CSU Pueblo (1-4-3, 0-1-1 RMAC) cut the deficit in half midway through the second half when Carlia Johnson (R-Sr., The Valley, Anguilla) scored her first goal of the year in the 64th minute, assisted by Katie Peterson (So., Pueblo West, Colo.). The ThunderWolves created chances late but could not find the equalizer.
Regis held a 22-7 advantage in total shots, including 8-3 on goal. CSU Pueblo goalkeepers combined for seven saves, with Miya Begay (Fr., West Valley City) recording five in the first half and Alva Hellenius (Fr., Stockholm, Sweden) adding one in the second.
