COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo women's lacrosse was tabbed to finish fifth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released Tuesday afternoon.
The ThunderWolves, who went 2-12 overall and 0-10 in the RMAC, earned eight points to sit two points in front of sixth place Fort Lewis (6 points) and six points behind fourth place Westminster (14 points).
Regis, who has won five straight regular season RMAC titles and went 20-2 overall and 10-0 in the RMAC last season, was tabbed to win its sixth consecutive league title as the Rangers earned 25 points and five of the six first place votes. The league's head coaches couldn't vote for their own teams.
Colorado Mesa, who went 11-5 overall and 8-2 in the RMAC a season ago, was tabbed to finish second as the Mavericks earned the other first place vote and 21 points.
UCCS, who went 7-9 overall and 5-5 in the league last season, was tabbed third as they earned 16 points, while Westminster, who went 6-9 overall and 5-5 in the RMAC a season ago, was picked fourth with 14 points.

Taylor Ward, who played for the Pack from 2016-19 and totaled 142 points and scored 108 goals, welcomes back five starters from last season team, including sophomore goalkeeper
Breonna Mason (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy), who was named to the 2025 RMAC Women's Lacrosse Player of the Watch List.
In addition to Mason, the other starters returning from last season are junior attacker
Audrey Allendorf (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls), sophomore defender
Dylan Retzloff (Bend, Ore./Mountain View), sophomore midfielder
Sophia Rinn (Eagle, Colo./Eagle Valley), and sophomore midfielder
Reese Wasmund (Portland, Ore./West Linn).
Mason was named the Preseason RMAC Watch List after being an Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection last season after finishing second in the league in saves (154) and save percentage (.484). Her 154 saves were tied for the most in a single season in program history.
Ward's third Pack team will open its 2025 season on Wednesday, Feb. 19 with 3 p.m. MT at William Jewell College in Liberty, Mo. The first home for the Pack at the Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 as the Pack hosts Davenport for a 1 p.m. game, while the RMAC game of the 2025 season is scheduled for Sunday, March 9 at 1 p.m. against Fort Lewis. The Pack will play seven of its 15 games this season at home.
