PUEBLO, Colo. – Due to inclement weather forecast for the Pueblo area on Friday, CSU Pueblo has announced an adjustment to its home four-game weekend baseball series with UCCS that is scheduled to be played at Rawlings Field.
The teams, which were originally scheduled to play a single game on both Friday and Sunday and a doubleheader, will now open the series with UCCS on Saturday, March 9 with a 12 p.m. single game, before playing a doubleheader beginning 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 10 and then concluding the series with a single game scheduled for 12 p.m. on Monday, March 11.
CSU Pueblo comes into the first weekend of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play sporting an 11-5 overall record and are ranked No. 2 in this week's latest NCBWA Division II South Central Regional rankings.
Meanwhile, UCCS comes into the weekend sporting 3-13 overall record as the Mountain Lions have lost three straight games, including suffering a 16-13 loss in its most recent game on Feb. 28 at home against the University of Mary.
The Pack and UCCS has already each two times this season as the Pack collected an 11-7 home win over the Mountain Lions on Feb. 13 and then earned a 16-6 win at UCCS just seven days later on Feb. 20.
