COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo women's basketball played its second to last game of the regular season here Friday evening as the ThunderWolves saw a nine-point third quarter lead evaporate as UCCS outscored the Pack 23-12 in the final period to post a 65-59 win in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action at the Gallogly Events Center.
Despite the loss, the Pack secured the eighth and final spot in next week's RMAC Tournament after Fort Lewis fell 62-59 Friday night at MSU Denver.
With the setback, the Pack falls to 16-13 overall and 11-10 in the RMAC, while UCCS improves to 20-7 overall and 17-4 in the league. Little, who has now scored 596 points this season, bettered the old single season scoring mark of 583 set by Sherry Vallejos in 1990-91.
In addition to Little's near triple-double, junior guard

The Pack, who trailed 36-29 at the half, opened the third period on 15-0 run to take a 44-36 lead with 4:17 left in the period. The run began with Little's single season school scoring record basket and was capped by a basket from
Shamahra Henderson (Denver, Colo./Cowley County CC). Little scored eight of her 26 points during the run.
UCCS stopped the Pack run with a lay-up by Maison White and that helped the Mountain Lions close the period on a 6-2 run to cut the Pack's lead to 47-42 heading into the final period.
The Mountain Lions, who have now won nine straight games, opened the fourth period 13-4 run to retake the lead at 55-51 with 5:12 left in the period.
