PUEBLO, Colo. (October 3, 2024) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team lost a 2-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match-up against MSU Denver on Thursday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
MSU Denver scored a goal in each half and finished with a 10-7 lead in shots and earned six corners against one from the ThunderWolves.
Jerzie Troost (Sr., Phoenix, Ariz.) led all players with three shots and one SOG.
Ariadna Membrives Lora (Sr., Sabadell, Barcelona) and
Sydney Lasater (Sr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) each recorded a SOG.
In the first half, CSU Pueblo fired two shots and added five more shots in the second period.
The Roadrunners got on the board first in the 35' and carried the one goal lead into the break.
MSU Denver recorded five corners in the first period.
Trailing by the one goal going into the final half, the ThunderWolves came together and possessed the ball in Roadrunner territory and a shot from beyond 30 yards away from Troost, resulted in MSU Denver goalkeeper Kylie Bach to make an acrobatic save and preserve the shutout.
MSU Denver added a second goal in the 48th minute after a free kick from near midfield got lost in the mix inside the box that went past the defense and inside the left post.

Elaina Leitner (Fr., Longmont, Colo.) played well at the net and made four saves against ten shots from MSU Denver.
CSU Pueblo (1-6-2, 0-3-0 RMAC) stays at home and will take on Colorado Christian on Sunday starting at 1 p.m. at Gonzales Stadium.
