LAS VEGAS, N.M. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Cross Country Teams concluded the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in Las Vegas, N.M., both finishing in the Top-Five.
The No. 3 National Ranked Women's Team finished Runner-Up with a team score of 88 points, while the No. 12 Ranked Men's Team finished Fifth with a team score of 147 points.
Both teams will now focus to the postseason, as both teams will easily qualify for the NCAA South Central Regionals in Denver, Colo.
The women were led by their 2023 All-American
Helen Braybrook (Frieston, United Kingdom), as the senior ran a superb time of 20:27.25 to finish ninth in the 6k event.
Braybrook's top-10 finished solidified All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference for the Brit.
Margot Thomas-Gatel (Chapet, Ile-de-France) ,
Leah Keisler (Biggar, United Kingdom), and
Jadyn Herron (Queen Creek, Ariz./Casteel) all finished in 16, 17, and 18th place to bring home Second-Team All-Conference honors.Â
On the men's side,
Matisse Virey (Meyzieu, France) led the way for the ThunderWolves, as the Frenchman had a great run, finishing 10th with a time of 24:31.47 in the 8k event.
Virey's top-10 finish solidified All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Confernce honors.Â
Kameron Eustace (Zuni, N.M./Zuni) had the second best finish for the men, finishing in 26th place with a time of 25:04.25.
Kaleb Beloy (Anchorage, Alaska/South Anchorage) finished in 31st place, while
Matthew Roberds (Colorado Springs, Colo./Mesa Ridge) finished in 40th place.Â
