DENVER, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo concluded its Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Regional pod hosted by 13th-ranked Regis University here Saturday afternoon with a four-set loss to the Rangers (11-25, 25-13, 15-25, 21-25) at Regis Fieldhouse.
With the setback, the ThunderWolves fall to 5-9 overall, while Regis improved to 10-3 on the season. The Pack went 1-1 at the RMAC Regional pod as they opened the weekend with a four-set win on Friday against UCCS.
"We got off to a slow start today and looked flat to begin the match. Regis has a really nice team and they gave us the business in the opening set. But I thought we settled in and responded well by finding some fortitude and found our will to compete," CSU Pueblo head volleyball coach
Austin Albers said. "I thought both teams had stretches where they showed some really high-level volleyball and put the opposition on their heels. But at the end of the day, they were able to put together more of those stretches than we did. It'll be great to dig into the film and see where we can get better this week."
In Saturday's match, sophomore outside hitter
Sadie Scoville (Pleasant Grove, Utah/Pleasant Grove) paced the Pack offense with 10 kills and added nine digs and three aces. In addition to Scoville, sophomore right side hitter
