PUEBLO, Colo. (September 10, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, a 1-0 defeat against Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes on Sunday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

The ThunderWolves out shot CSUSB, 9-8 and both teams recorded three corners.

The visitors got on the board during the 10th minute after driving the ball down field and hitting a shot into the top right corner of the net.

CSU Pueblo was led by Cortney Cowles (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) with three shots including one landing on frame.

The ThunderWolves fired four shots in the first period and five during the second.

Pack goalkeeper Nicole Genis (Sr., San Jose, Costa Rica) made three saves against eight shots.

CSU Pueblo (1-1-2) will wrap nonconference play and welcome Northwest Oklahoma State on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. at Gonzales Stadium.
