Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. (September 16, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's soccer team won its final nonconference match of the season, defeating Northwest Oklahoma State 1-0 at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.

Drew Morby (Sr., Washington, Utah) scored in the final minute of play to give the ThunderWolves the victory.Ā
In the match, CSU Pueblo registered 15Ā shots against just two for NWOSU.
The Pack started the match with high intensity and fired a pair of shots within the first moments of the game. In the first half, the ThunderWolves recorded ten shots and the defense held the Rangers to no shots in the period.
CSU Pueblo earned three corners and had six of their shots land on frame, led by two shots each from
Cortney Cowles (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) and
Cameron Farthing (So., Coventry, England).
The first real good look came midway through the first when
Ashley Bennett (So., Lakeville, Minn.) drove the ball down the far side and was fired a shot that sailed high and above the post.
In the second period, the visitors came out with more energy and confidence and the ThunderWolvesĀ were able to break down the attack and settle with possession.
The Pack defense had arguably their best outing of the season and held NWOSU to just two chances at the net and gave up two corners.

Nicole Genis (Sr., San Jose, Costa Rica) stood tall for majority of the match and made two saves.
CSU Pueblo (2-1-2) begins Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play at home next week and welcomes Fort Lewis on Friday and will play Colorado School of Mines on Sunday to finish the homestand at Gonzales Stadium.
