PUEBLO, Colo. – The Colorado State University Pueblo football team has announced a change to its 2023 schedule on Friday afternoon.
Due to ongoing renovations to the football stadium that are not expected to be completed by the third week of the regular season at Western Colorado, the Rocky Mountain Conference Athletic Conference in conjunction with both institutions has announced that the Pack's football game scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 16 at Western Colorado in Gunnison, Colo., has been moved to CSU Pueblo's ThunderBowl in Pueblo, Colo. Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
"This change, mutually agreed upon by both institutions, was approved by the RMAC office in recognition of the continuing construction at The Mountaineer Bowl and the associated logistical and staffing challenges," RMAC Commissioner Chris Graham said.
With the change in the schedule, the Pack football team will now play six home games during the upcoming 2023 season, including back-to-back home games on Sept. 16 and Sept 23 against Colorado School of Mines. The Western Colorado game will be the second home game of the season as the Pack opens the 2023 campaign at home on Sept. 2 against Midwestern State.
With the addition of another home game to the schedule, season ticket prices have been updated for people that have not already purchased season tickets for the upcoming 2023 season. (

Thanks to this year's scheduling change, the Pack will now play Western Colorado in Gunnison in both 2024 and 2025. The 2024 game is scheduled for Nov. 2, while the 2025 game is scheduled for Nov. 1.
